Loop Type Event Monitors have the ability to store pre- and post-ECG events on patient activation of an event button. Indications for use of a Loop Type Monitor: dizziness, syncope or near syncope, arrhythmias unspecified or episodes of heart block. |

Event Type Monitors have no pre-event ECG memory and only record post-event information on patient activation. Indications for use of an Event Type Monitor: transient palpitations and daily monitoring for medication effect on certain arrhythmias. |

Auto-trigger Type Monitors have the ability to store pre and post ECG events on patient activation of an event button and/or auto-trigger at preset limits. |
